Pour 8 cups of water into soup pot with 1 tbs. salt. Rinse Chicken and remove giblet bag (if applicable), then place in water. Bring water to a boil and boil for 45 minutes.

Once chicken is cooked through, remove from pot and let cool.

When chicken is cool enough to handle pull from bone and tear into smaller pieces. Add chicken back to the pot along with broccoli and corn. Add salt and pepper and return to boil.

Make the dumplings

While soup returns to boil, crack egg into a small bowl and add milk and flour. mix gently with a fork until crumbly.

Crumble the dumplings into the soup and let cook for an additional five minutes. Then let stand for five more minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste (lots of pepper)

Serve hot.
